Common questions
How do I move and jump?
Use the left and right arrows to move. Tap the up-arrow button for a short jump; hold it longer for more height. You can hold a direction and jump with another finger. Reach the open exit to finish a stage. On a keyboard, use A/D or left/right arrows, and Space or the up arrow to jump. Portrait and landscape use the same controls.
Which mode should I choose?
Expedition is the World 1 journey: 84 stages, including three guardians, with three lives. Practice is an endless climb with unlimited retries. Ranked is a separate fixed solo course for comparing times; it needs Game Center and a connection to share eligible results. Trials let you replay individual challenges. Preview worlds marked “Coming later” are not playable in this version.
What happens at a campsite?
A campsite appears after every ten completed stages or rooms. In Expedition, it restores one life, up to three. Explore or take a break, then stand in the departure area on the right. In co-op, everyone must stand there together until the short countdown finishes. Stepping away or pausing resets the countdown. Camp time is excluded from the climb timer.
Can I continue a solo Expedition later?
From Build 54: solo Expedition saves when you enter camps after completed stages 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80. The saved-expedition card lets you choose Continue. You return to that camp with its explorer, lives, coins and accumulated timing; progress since that camp is lost. Before stage 10 there is no checkpoint. Losing all lives, winning, or confirming a replacement expedition ends that saved expedition. Starting Practice, Ranked, co-op or a trial does not overwrite it. Build 53 and earlier keep history only and cannot resume a climb.
Why is my saved expedition missing?
Saves stay on this device and are separate for each Game Center account and offline play. Return to the same account or offline state used when the run began. Signing in later does not move an offline save to that account. If the account changes during a run, the game stops updating that run’s checkpoint. A new phone or reinstall does not download a save from Nesia. History is a record of past play, not a list of resumable expeditions. If a save reports a recovery problem, contact support before reinstalling.
How do we play together?
Each person needs the same build of Colossal Climbers, an internet connection and Game Center sign-in with multiplayer allowed. Choose Play together. Create a party and share the code, or enter a friend’s code; the creator starts once everyone has joined. You can also use the Game Center invitation or matching options. The party supports two to four players. Share a code privately and create a new party if it no longer works.
We disconnected. Can we rejoin the same climb?
There is no mid-climb rejoin in this version. Return to Home and create or join a new party. Check that everyone has the same build and is signed in to Game Center, then try again with a stable connection. A party code is for finding the group; it does not restore the old run. If Game Center is unavailable, solo Expedition and Practice are still available.
Game Center or Ranked is unavailable
Check Game Center in your device’s Settings and finish sign-in. Check Screen Time restrictions if multiplayer is blocked. A cancelled sign-in does not stop ordinary solo play. For Ranked, sign in before starting and wait for the result status to confirm that the time was shared. A local record or a failed-submission message is not proof that a leaderboard accepted it. Practice, co-op and campsite continuations are not Ranked runs.
Where are sound, motion and help settings?
Open the gear on Home, or Settings from Pause, for sound, music and haptics. From Build 54, Reduce motion and Larger text sit alongside replayable How to play; older builds call the animation setting “Screen shake”. The game also respects the device’s Reduce Motion setting. You can pause before leaving the app; keep in mind that closing it only preserves a supported solo campsite checkpoint, not the current room.
What should I include in a bug report?
Email support@nesia.studio with the version and build shown at the bottom of the app’s Settings, your device and OS version, the mode and stage or room, and what happened. For co-op, include how many people were playing and whether you created or joined the party. A screenshot or short recording is optional; avoid exposing private notifications or other people’s details. TestFlight testers can also use Send Beta Feedback. Do not send passwords or payment information.
